‘Dumsor’ will soon be a thing of the past – Bawumia

Mahamudu Bawumia, the governing New Patriotic Party’s 2024 flagbearer, has declared that Ghana’s current attacks of intermittent power outages will soon come to an end.

Power interruptions that have been occurring for the past few months have alarmed consumers about a potential return of power rationing (Dumsor) under the Mahama administration.

They have demanded a timetable for electricity rationing so they can prepare.

However, the Energy Minister has stated that since there isn’t any power rationing, customers don’t need to be given a schedule.

Inaugurating his campaign tour in the Eastern Region on Monday, April 29, Bawumia addressed the religious leaders in Akropong, saying, “I know that there are challenges… we are going to work on them.”

“Currently, we have issues with power but I say that from the information I have received from the Minister for Energy, those power challenges will very soon, and I mean very soon be a thing of the past,” Bawumia added.
