He says anyone who wants to embark on any event should adhere to the ACT or be dealt with.

Police personnel are still in the area to maintain peace as investigations continue. No arrest has bene made yet.

Member of Parliament for the constituency, Frank Annoh Dompreh has called on both factions to ensure peace prevails in the area.

Two persons died as a result of a shooting incident that took place at Nsawam Adoagyiri in the Eastern Region.

The incident occurred after gun-wielding men and members of the Okyeman Land Protection Taskforce, escorting a convoy of rival chiefs enstooled recently by Akyem Abuakwa traditional council and sworn in at Kyebi, stormed the Adoagyiri community.

The situation angered residents of Nsawam Adoagyiri who paid homage to Akyem Kotoku.

In that process, one member of the Okyeman task force was mistakenly gunned down, as two others sustained gunshot injuries and were rushed to the Nsawam Government Hospital by police deployed to the community.

The situation is creating fear and panic among the residents as some have been reportedly fled since last night, due to the heavy presence of the Police officers deployed to the community.
