Communications Director of Berekum Chelsea, Exonam Opoku, has stated emphatically that the “Bibires” will finish top four in the 2022/23 Betpawa Premier League if they don’t lift the trophy this season.
Prior to their Friday, April 14, 2023, clash against Asante Kotoko, Berekum Chelsea FC lost at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Ghana Premier League week 25 tie. The home team needed the win desperately to have high hopes of escaping the drop zone this season after series of bad results.
Speaking to King Kaninja on Original 91.9 FM’s Super Sports Show on Friday morning, the ambitious spokesperson said ;
“This season we won’t go below the top 4”
“The team have what it takes to beat Kotoko today at Golden City Park”
“The players will go all out and we will be there to support ”
Chelsea resume their League campaign at the Golden City Park as they host the Porcupine Warriors.
The Bibires are 8th on the League standings with 34 points, 5 points behind Kotoko.
