Every household within the territories of the Dagbon has been instructed by the Dagbon Development Committee to pay at least GHS100 to support the construction of a new palace.

This is in line with the effort of getting a befitting palace to house the king of Dagbon Ya-Naa Abukari II and any other king who would come after him.

All paramount chiefs and traditional rulers in Dagbon Kingdom have been tasked to levy every Household within their jurisdictions to pay GHS100 towards the construction of a new Gbewaa in Yendi, the traditional capital of the Dagbon Kingdom.

Acting on this directive, Tamale Dakpema has asked all his sub-chiefs to execute the task given to them by collecting the money from every Household in Tamale.

He added that Big businesses including fuel stations and supermarkets are also mandated to contribute towards the construction.
