I don’t own a car – K.T Hammond

The Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, K.T. Hammond says he has no idea about the hikes in fuel prices in the country because he doesn’t own a car and does not buy fuel.

The MP made the comment on November 15 at the public hearing of the motion of censure against Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.

Minority Leader in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu had sort to find out whether K.T. Hammond, who is the chairman of the ad-hoc committee is aware of the current fuel prices.

K.T. Hammond in response said, “I don’t buy fuel, I don’t have a car, so I don’t buy fuel”.

The Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, is leading a team from the Minority in Parliament as the ad-hoc parliamentary committee investigating the Ken Ofori-Atta censure motion began its work today, Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

This follows the setting up of an ad-hoc committee to probe the allegations against the minister and report the same to the plenary for consideration.

The MPs from the Minority side will be adducing evidence to implicate the embattled Minister of Finance, Ofori-Atta.
