John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has provided the strongest hint of who his running mate will be ahead of the 2024 election.

According to Mr. Mahama, the individual worked in his government as a Minister and performed his job conscientiously.

Speaking to NDC supporters in the Bono East Region, John Mahama announced that the pick of a running partner will take place next year.

“Everyone knows him; he’s humble and very resourceful; he served in my government. Our party has rules in selecting a running mate; we will select the running mate next year,” he said.

John Dramani Mahama is running for re-election in 2024.

Former Education Minister Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang was Mahama’s running mate in the 2020 elections. Prior to that, in 2016, the late Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur was his running mate.
