N/R: Students deferring courses due to lack of school fees

The tertiary education of many students across the country is on the line due to the economic meltdown the country is going through.

This is even worse in the northern part of Ghana where the most challenged regions of the country are located. As a result, the member of Parliament for the Yendi Constituency, Alhaji Faruk Aliu Mahama, has rescued about 70 students who were at the verge of deferring their studies due to a lack of money to pay their fees.

The Mp through his FAMMEC program, has been helping brilliant but needy students in the Yendi Municipality and beyond.

The MP is of the view that education is the surest way to achieve a better society and has therefore spent over a million Ghana cedis on educational infrastructure in the Yendi Municipality, promising to continue paying fees for brilliant but needy students in the municipality and beyond.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to Metro News expressed their appreciation to the MP for ensuring that their educational journey is not truncated due to lack of money.
