The Awutu Senya East Constituency Secretary of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Tuariq Amadu had died.
He fell unconscious during a meeting that was being held at the party’s office and was rushed to a health facility in Kasoa.
He was later referred to the Ridge Hospital in Accra where he died while receiving treatment.
He served as constituency communications officer for the party before assuming the secretaryship role.
Tuariq Amadu also served as spokesperson for the Kasoa Interchange and Ancillary Projects during 2015.
A statement issued by the party has confirmed his passing and burial which will be held on Sunday 17 September, 2023 in accordance to Islamic principles.
