The National Democratic Congress (NDC), mourned the sudden passing of John Akologo Tia, renowned as a former Ambassador, Minister of State, and Member of Parliament for the NDC.

The party is a statement to the media celebrated Mr. Tia’s unwavering dedication to the party’s cause which endeared him to his colleagues and constituents alike.

“His invaluable contributions to the party’s growth and nationwide outreach left an indelible mark on Ghana’s political landscape, making his loss deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him,” the statement signed by General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey noted.

“Hon. John Tia was a stalwart of the party whose tireless efforts contributed in no small measure to the building of the National Democratic Congress and the extension of its appeal to every corner of our beloved country. His death has once again robbed the Party of a Comrade whose counsel was highly prized and whose absence will be deeply felt”

It said, as the NDC grapples with the profound void left by John Tia’s departure, the party pledges to honor his memory with a dignified farewell befitting his exemplary service and unwavering commitment.

Amidst the sorrow that permeates the political sphere, there remains a steadfast determination to celebrate his legacy.

The statement further explained that, in this time of mourning, the party stands united in extending heartfelt condolences to Tia’s bereaved family, offering unwavering support as they navigate this difficult period of loss and remembrance.

“As we mourn his untimely passing, we extend our sincerest condolences to the immediate family, especially to his wife and children. We shall collaborate in every way possible to honour his memory with a befitting send off”

DEATH OF HON. JOHN TIA.

The leadership and membership of the National Democratic Congress have learnt with deep sorrow, shock and regret the sudden passing into glory of the Hon. John Akologo Tia, a former Ambassador, Minister of State and Member of Parliament on the ticket of the great NDC. He was until his untimely death a Member of the NDC’s Council of Elders.

Hon. John Tia was a stalwart of the party whose tireless efforts contributed in no small measure to the building of the National Democratic Congress and the extension of its appeal to every corner of our beloved country. His death has once again robbed the Party of a Comrade whose counsel was highly prized and whose absence will be deeply felt.

As we mourn his untimely passing, we extend our sincerest condolences to the immediate family, especially to his wife and children. We shall collaborate in every way possible to honour his memory with a befitting send off.
