Next NDC govt will provide farming service centres – Mahama

  1. Flagbearer of the NDC and former President John Dramani Mahama has stated that his next government would provide farm service centers nationwide to assist farmers in their activities when voted into power.

Mr Mahama made the statement while on his Building Ghana tour at Tamde in the Garu District of the Upper East Region of Ghana.

Farmers took the opportunity to thank the former president for the construction of the Tamde Dam.

The Tamde dam is currently one of the biggest dams in the Upper East Region which farming activities is actively ongoing. The dam was constructed during the tenure of John Mahama s president.

The farmers on their appreciation, presented a citation of honour to the former president.

In showing gratitude to the people of the area for recognising his effort, the former President stated that when he’s given the nod to lead the country again, he’ll provide farming service centers nationwide.

The farm service centers would help farmers in acquiring the necessary crops for sowing, fertiliser, water for watering the crops, combine harvesters and other equipments as well help the farmers get ready market.
