Okoe Boye wins Ledzokuku NPP primaries

Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, the CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), has won convincingly to represent the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 parliamentary election in the Ledzokuku Constituency.

The party on Saturday, December 2, 2023, held primaries to choose candidates for seats in which it does not currently have representatives in Parliament, and he managed to win.

Out of all the valid votes cast, Dr. Boye, a former Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku, received 902 votes.

His closest contender, Collins Nii Ashitey Ollenu secured 354 of the valid votes while Clifford Martey managed to secure 199 votes.

Ibrahim Adjei, a presidential aide, came in fourth with 180 of the 1,635 valid votes cast.
