The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has revoked the freezing order for five bank accounts of the former Sanitation Minister Cecilia Abena Dapaah.

According to a statement from the OSP, other bank accounts and financial assets of Madam Dapaah are still under the freezing order. .

In July 2023, the Special Prosecutor opened an inquiry into Ms. Cecilia Abena Dapaah over allegations of suspected corruption and crimes related to it involving huge sums of money and other valuables.

To aid in the investigation, the Special Prosecutor took steps, such as issuing a freezing order regarding Ms. Dapaah’s bank accounts and other financial assets.

Five (5) of Ms. Dapaah’s bank accounts were later cleared of any allegation of being contaminated property by the investigation.
