Pragya has come to stay – Riders and Mechanics Association

The President of the Kumasi branch of the Pragyia Riders and Mechanics Association Nurudeen Alhassan has stated categorically stated that the three-wheeler vehicle popularly called “Pragya” has come to stay.

Addressing the clash between Pragya riders and the officials from the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) on Original TV’s Original Kasiebo on 2nd August 2023, Nurudeen Alhassan disclosed that the leadership of the Association and KMA were in a meeting trying to come to a consensus only to hear the disturbance.

According to him, the Pragyia Riders and Mechanics Association has no idea how the violence began.

“We had a meeting with our leaders, and we spoke to the boys on the field that they should exercise patience and not engage in anything until the outcome of the meeting but it’s evident that the aggravations of the boys were much higher than our words of patience,” he disclosed.

He called on the police to arrest individuals involved in the disturbance stating that Ashanti Region holds in high esteem values and does not in any way condone violence.
