PRESENTATION OF AWARDS TO FRONTLINE HEALTH AND ALLIED WORKERS IN THE EASTERN REGION

 

All the thirty-three (33) district and municipal directors of the Ghana Health Services and some of their staff in the eastern region who exhibited professionalism in handling the novel COVID-19 pandemic have been honored accordingly by the President of the Republic of Ghana at the Conference Hall of the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council on 27th September, 2023.

In a remark by the Regional Health Director, Doctor Winfred Ofosu, stated that, Health workers in the region exhibited professionalism in dealing with the novel COVID-19 Pandemic which had led to the presentation of the awards to the frontline health and allied workers in the eastern region by the President.

He thanked the President Nana Addo Dankwa for a well recognition of health workers mandated duties hence the presentation of the awards to them.

The Eastern Regional Minister, Honorable Seth Kwame Acheampong noted that the frontline Allied Health Workers stood to their grounds in ensuring that, the region and for that matter the country is free from COVID-19 Pandemic.

He continued that, the government aims to improve the health system in the country through the Agenda 111 project which seeks to building hospitals and providing the requisite equipment to each to ensure improvement in the living standard of citizenry.

Presentation of the awards, signed by the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to the one thousand and ninety-nine (1,099) frontline Health and Allied Workers in the Eastern Region was done by the Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong.
