President Akufo-Addo nominates Abronye, others to TOR board

The New Patriotic Party’s Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, commonly referred to as Abronye DC, has been nominated by President Akufo-Addo to the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) Company Limited Board.

The President also proposed Mr. Kofi Mocumbi Tagoe to be the company’s Managing Director and Leon Kendon Appenteng to be the Chairman of the board.

This was made official in a statement dated March 18 and signed by Nana Bediatuo Asante, the secretary to the president.

The nomination follows the Tema Oil Refinery Company Limited Board’s reconstitution.

“Kindy take the necessary steps to give immediate effect on these nominations in accordance
with the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992) and the Regulations of the Company,” the statement read.

Dr. Antoinette Tsiboe-Darko, Mrs. Edith Sapara-Grant, Nana Aka Bakoma Prempeh, Mrs. Lorraine Crabbe Ababio, Mr. Joseph Mensah Browne, Mr. Alfred George Thompson, Mr. Paul Kwaku Kyei Ofori, and Mr. Herbert Ato Morrison are the other individuals that have been nominated.
