The CEO of the National Youth Authority,Pius Enam Hadzide has disclosed that,the much awaited commissioning of the Koforidua Youth Resource Centre is scheduled for 27th December 2023.
The CEO made this disclosure on Friday December 15, during a working visit to the site.
Engaging the media in an interview,Mr.Hadzide mentioned that,he was quite impressed with the output of both the Contractor and the Consultant.
“So come 27th December,His Excellency the President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo has graciously agreed together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports,the National Youth Authority, Chiefs and people of the Eastern region to commission the first out of the ten Youth Resource Centres being constructed across the country”.
He indicated again that as part of activities to mark the commissioning,there will be various sporting activities including athletics, basketball, volleyball,lawn tennis, football, high jump etc.
The CEO seized the opportunity to thank the Chiefs and people of Koforidua and it’s environs for their patience and collaboration in making this unprecedented infrastructure come through for the usage by the youth in the region and beyond.
