Pupils in Lamboya Model Primary left to study on bare floor

Pupils of Lamboya Model Primary sit on the floor to learn during school hours in the Bawku West District of the Upper East Region.

This is due to inadequate desks in the school.

Williams A. Azaaba, Assembly Man for the Lamboya Electoral Area, bemoaned the situation and stated that all efforts to get politicians and government leadership in the area to come to the aid of the kids have proven futile.

A missionary, Williams Abordzabir Azambarima, who is a Reverend Father and a native of the area upon realising the plight of the kids, donated 80 dual desks to the children.

This could help ease the pressure on the kids but more would be needed to satisfy the entire student population.

Headmistress of the school, Selina Aganda after receiving the donation from the Reverend father, thanked and prayed for the man of God for his gesture.

She did not hide her excitement over the donation and also appealed to other well-meaning citizens to emulate Reverend Father Robert Williams Abordzabir Azambarima.

The Lamboya Model Primary has a student population of 814. It is the only public school in the Lamboya Electoral Area.
