Some residents of the Bawku of Bawku West District of the Upper East Region have expressed excitement over the appointment of the new District Chief Executive, Daniel Atampuba Anania.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo revoked the appointment of Alhaji Issaku last week and appointef Daniel Anania Atampuba as his replacement.
In an interview with Metro News, the Zebilla Constituency NPP Youth Organiser, Akumbo Wakiki stated that the outgone DCE couldn’t perform his duties as expected by party executives and the appointment of Daniel Atampuba Anania is refreshing to the NPP executives in the Zebilla constituency.
He aided that Mr Anania is well versed in the affairs of the district and is the best option.
Mark Anaki, a resident, also stated that Daniel Atampuba Anania is a young man who is loved by the youth and can help the bring development to the area and also help the NPP candidate for the area in the upcoming elections.
The Zebilla Constituency is a known stronghold of the NDC, however, Dr Kurugu Kingley of the NPP is tipped to pull a surprise on 7th December, 2024.
