Right To Information Commission Sensitizes Churches And Mosques

Recognizing the significance of informed decision-making, the Right to Information Commission has embarked on a proactive initiative to sensitize churches and mosques leading to the celebration of its Right to Information Month in September. 2023.

As part of this insightful endeavor, several churches in the Greater Accra Region have been sensitized, including Salomey Anglican Church, Apostles Continuation Church, Grace Baptist Church, Seventh Day Adventist Church, Methodist Church, Beautiful Zion Church, Perez Chapel International, and Deeper Life Church. This exercise is expected to run throughout the month-long celebration.

Through these sessions, church members are empowered with the tools to exercise their rights, enabling them to make informed choices and actively participate in democratic processes. Moreover, this initiative offers faith communities an opportunity to explore how access to information aligns with their values and teachings.

By integrating the principles of transparency, accountability, and responsible governance, churches and mosques can become agents of positive change within their communities.
