According to the Speaker, his management of the situation involving the Member of Parliament for Nanton, Alhaji Mohammed Hardi Tufeirua who was involved in an accident on his way to the House was in accordance with parliamentary procedures.

The MP was transported to parliament in an ambulance following the unfortunate accident. He was later transported out of the house to seek medical attention.

According to reports, upon his arrival in the house, the Speaker directed the two whips of the House to go and confirm the situation and also ascertain whether he was of sound mind to vote.
