The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, is not under any pressure to declare his running mate, according to Dan Kwaku Botwe, the party’s campaign chairman for the 2024 elections.

Even though he asked the party’s National Council for more time, Dr. Bawumia has come under fire for the protracted delay in revealing his running mate.

Speaking to media in Kumasi, Dan Botwe gave his word that the flagbearer would declare his preferred candidate at the appropriate moment.

‘We have not mentioned a particular candidate and no such discussion has come up but finding a running mate has never been our problem. It has never been a contentious issue for us.”
