The wife of the Vice President of Ghana, Samira Bawumia has made a passionate appeal to the New Patriotic Party’s grassroot delegates in the Ahafo Ano North, South East, and South West constituencies in the Ashanti Region to rally behind a winnable candidate, whom she indicated is her husband Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and vote massively for him.

She said Dr. Bawumia leading the governing NPP is the surest way it can make breaking the eight a reality.

The Second Lady reminded the delegates of the need for them to vote for her husband, adding it would be difficult for the party to win an election without a better candidate and that choosing Dr. Bawumia would be a positive step towards victory in 2024.

Samira Bawumia who had earlier visited some constituencies like the Adansi North and South Akrofuom and Obuasi intimated that Dr. Bawumia is a leader born to serve his country, hence the need for the party to elect a competent, peaceful, and inspiring leader at this time to break the two-term governance cycle the party has enjoyed.

She further indicated that the party per the special delegates congress on August 26, 2023, has signaled the direction of the party and that her husband Dr. Bawumia is the chosen one.

She, therefore, urged the party’s delegates to give a resounding victory to the Vice president on November 4, assuring that all their concerns will be her utmost priority when the party wins the 2024 general elections.

The wife of the Vice President was accompanied by Dr. Nana Ayew, the Ashanti regional Campaign coordinator for Team DMB, the Operations Manager, Andy Owusu, 1st and 2nd Vice chairpersons of the party in the region, Patrick Acheampong and Victoria Owusu Achiaw, as well as the Regional Communication Director, Paul Kwabena Yandoh and other high profile party members.
