We may lose 2024 elections if we don’t keep campaign clean – Bawumia’s advisor

A Technical Advisor to Vice President, Dr. Tiah Mahama has called on the various NPP aspirants to embark on a clean campaign, rid of personal attacks and questionable utterances.

“It is quite clear that Dr, Bawumia is very much in the lead and the fear we are having is that if we don’t manage our campaign very well. If we don’t manage our chances very well he may win but because of internal fracture that we have caused to ourselves, we may not be able to win the 2024 elections.

Dr Mahama contends “it’s getting dirty because the utterances of members of the various teams and even the leaders of the various teams have an implication on the final outcome.  Whosoever wins the elections will need each and every single member of the NPP to win the elections.”

Making references to the laws governing our elections, Dr. Mahama said, “the constitution says clearly that you need that you need 50+1, so without that single persons I’m not sure that you can win political power so we are worried. Especially when you have an advantage, you don’t want to do anything to jeopardize that chance of winning the elections”

He emphasized the goal was not the priaries but the general elections.

Campaigning for the NPP Primaries is peaking as aspirants have intensified their campaigning and attacks on the lead candidate, Dr. Mahmaoud Bawumia. Lead among them is MP for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong who questioned Dr. Bawumia’s management of the economy.
