It is an all joy affair for residents of the Weija Gbawe Municipality over the dismissal of Patrick Kwasi Brako Kumor as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).
The residents who spoke to Metro News describe the performance of Kumor as disappointing.
They claim he failed to pay attention to petty developmental concerns and expect the next MCE to take a cue from that.
President Akufo-Addo sacked 24 Municipal and District Chief Executives with immediate effect on Friday, February 2, 2024.
The President in a statement noted that his decision is in accordance with Article 243 (3) b of the Constitution and section 20 (3) (b) of the Local Government Act, 2014, (Act 936).
Patrick Kumor of Weija-Gbawe was among the 24 MMDCEs who lost their jobs.
