We’re Sorry For Lying – Fmr. Employees Of BusyInternet Apologizes To Napo, Adutwum For Lying To Defame Them

After months of publishing fabricated lies against the Minister for Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh and Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the culprits have rendered an unqualified apology to the two senior officials of government.

The two conspirators who are former employees of BusyInternet Ghana Limited, Andy Ankomah, and Nicholas Bill Aleander through a series of publications on the company’s social media handles accused the two of engaging in bribery and corruption in the process of awarding a contract to the company.

In an apology letter dated 20th June 2023, the culprits explained that they falsely believed that once they mentioned the names of these public officials who were involved in the contract; their management, against whom they have been pressing payment demands, would panic and pay their outstanding salaries.

They further confessed that their accusations against the ministers were not really backed by any hard facts.

“These were based on suspicions and not enough to consider the publication as 100% accurate. Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, former Education Minister was mentioned which was regrettable and as such it’s proper we offer an unqualified apology. We would also like to offer an apology to the Ministry of Education since the institution was mentioned in the publication and never meant to cause harm to its reputation,” parts of the letter sighted by Metrotvonline read.

The two however insisted that their modus operandi was not politically motivated in any way but a means to compel their management to pay their outstanding remuneration. They further called on the Minister to intervene in their salary payment matter by speaking on their behalf to their management.

They stated that “our emotions got the better of us in addressing the issue and will plead to your honorable office to broker a deal on our behalf to get our arrears paid.”

They further appealed to Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh to grant them an audience for to render their apology in person, adding they have pulled down their malicious posts on social media.
