The NPP parliamentary candidate for the Zebilla constituency, Dr Kingsley Krugu has appealed to the people of the area to help him bring development to the area by voting him into power as the Member of Parliament.

He made the call during the constituency campaign team launch at Zebilla.

The Zebilla constituency is a known stronghold of National Democratic Congress. They have voted for the NDC since 1992 except for 2004 and 2016. The former majority leader Cletus Avoka and NDC enjoyed enjoyed the legislative leadership of the area until 2004 where lawyer John Ndebugri took over. The seat went back to NDC again in 2008 and in 2016, the NPP miraculously won it through Dr Fuseini.

In the upcoming elections, the MP, Cletus Avoka has exited the contested and his party presented a new face. The NPP is expecting another miracle to overwhelmingly win the seat from the NPP.

Dr Krugu in an interview during the inauguration of his campaign team enumerated some of the achievements of the NPP in the area including the famous “Bud Tis Buudi” scholarship which has aided some brilliant but needy students in the area.

The District Chief Executive for the area Daniel Atampugba, however, called on the people to choose a leader who has the powers to take them to the promise land.
