2024 National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential Candidate hopeful John Dramani Mahama will begin his campaign tour of the Ahafo Region today, March 14, 2023.
He will begin the tour with a meeting with executives and activists of the NDC in Duayaw Nkwanta.
Mr. Mahama is expected to visit all six constituencies of the region.
“This will be the last of his three-region tour that has taken him to the Bono East and Bono Regions,” a spokesperson for the former president, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, said in a statement.
On March 2, John Mahama launched his campaign in Ho in the Volta Region and proceeded with a tour in the region.
Mr. Mahama, the NDC’s flagbearer candidate, is touring branches and constituency executives across the country to rally support for his candidacy on May 13, 2023.
During the campaign launch at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), all sixteen Regional Chairmen of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) declared their support for John Mahama rallying behind him to win the party’s flagbeaership slot in the forthcoming presidential primaries.
They hold the view that Mr. Mahama is the only person within the NDC who can lead and win the elections for the NDC in 2024.
The Chairmen took turns to assure Mr. Mahama that they would work hard to ensure victory for their respective regions for the NDC in next year’s election.
