The other members were Bryan Acheampong, the MP for Abetifi who will succeed Owusu Afriyie Akoto as Minister of Agriculture, Osei Bonsu Amoah, the Minister of State for Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development, Stephen Asamoah Boateng, the Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, and Mohammed Amin Adam, the Minister of State for the Ministry of Finance.

They have since received a directive from President Akufo-Addo to make sure they uphold the highest standards of integrity as they carry out their responsibilities in the ministries they have been given.

“Your appointments has come at a critical moment in the history of our country and your success in this endeavour would be a consequence of the oaths you have solemnly sworn to uphold the interest of the Republic, its constitution and its citizenry and dedicate yourselves to the promotion of their general well-being.

“You have joined the government and virtually the last lap of its mandate with 19 months to go. But I am confident that there is enough time for you to make a difference and significant contribution, ” President Akufo-Addo said.
