Asebu Omanhene destools his ‘stubborn’ Gyasehene

The Paramount Chief of the Asebu Traditional Area, Okatakyi Dr. Amenfi VII, has axed the Gyasehene of Bebia, a suburb of Abura Asebu in the Central Region, Nana Kwadwo Benyin XIII from his stool with immediate effect over his level of disobedience exhibited towards the paramountcy.

This charges leveled against the disfavoured Gyasehene has him to have reluctantly declined to the paramountcy’s series of summons to him over complaints of him parading himself as Chief of Agidam.

Agidam is a remote community alleged to be established by himself to enstool chiefs without the knowledge of the Paramount Chief, hence his destoolment on Friday, October 6, 2023.

Okatakyir Amenfi speaking in an interview to Metro News recounted that the need has presented itself for him to destool the Gyasehene who he described ‘stubborn’ over his level of insubordination and succession towards his throne, as non of his divisional chiefs has ever pulled up such despicable act showcased by Nana Kwadwo Benyin.

He thereby entreated all and sundry to disassociate themselves from engaging the Gyasehene to buy lands for he has been destooled, with the Bebia Gyasi stool currently abolished. He said whoever contacts the destooled chief over the acquisition of land at either Agidam or Bebia does so at his own risk.

The learned chief further reached out to persons who have ignorantly acquired lands from the destooled Gyasehene over the years to report to the paramountcy for authentication of documents to see what can be done to help them.
