Residents and driver unions have blocked major streets in Ashaiman to register their displeasure at the government over the poor state of roads in the municipality.

The protestors are demanding for their roads to be fixed.

They say the deplorable state of the road is affecting them economically as they have to frequent their mechanics to service their vehicles and they do not make their daily wages.

According to them, the government has done little to better the situation and they will continue demonstrating until they see works begin on the roads in Ashaiman.
