Bawku: NPP aspirant task opponents to be measured in their communication

One of the favourites in the upcoming NPP parliamentary primaries for Bawku Central, Salifu Bashiru, has called on other aspirants to be measured in their activities going into the Saturday polls.

The New Patriotic Party is expected to elect parliamentary candidates nationwide in their mother constituencies on Saturday 27th January 2024. Bawku Central constituency is an orphan constituency but had its elections postponed when orphan constituencies were having their elections.

Bawku has not known peace since November 2021, when ethnic clashes broke out between Kusasis and Mamprusis over a chieftaincy dispute in the area.

Salifu Bashiru, a key contender in the race thinks using vulgar language against opponents can escalate the existing conflict in the area.
