A communications team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Benedicta Yayra Fosu-Mensah says the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has nothing new to offer Ghanaians.
She cautioned Ghanaians not to fall for the promises of Dr. Bawumia and voted for him in the 2024 elections.
Appearing on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV on Monday morning, Prof Fosu-Mensah indicated that Dr. Bawumia failed woefully in his capacity as the Head of the Economic Management Team and could not take care of the economic aspects of the country.
She said “the time he had lectures going about and throwing figures around, the level of inflation had already risen to 15.4 and was as high as 51 percent therefore such a candidate cannot be presented for presidency”
Professor Benedicta further lashed out at Dr. Bawumia over the domestic debt-restricting programme and the ongoing strike actions by organised labour unions.
She noted that Ghanaians are right-thinking people and can tell the difference between right and wrong hence will not vote for Dr. Bawumia to lead the country.
