Bawumia shows kindness to ‘YOLO’ star Drogba- NHIA Boss

The new Chief Executive of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. DaCosta Aboagye accompanied the Vice President of Ghana and the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to visit Ghanaian actor John Bredu Peasah, popularly known as Drogba, who is currently battling with a rare nerve disorder called demyelination.

On Tuesday, March 12, Dr. DaCosta Aboagye and the vice president paid the actor a visit at his residence to express empathy and offer support for his medical treatment.

According to Dr. DaCosta Aboagye, the NPP flagbearer’s presence not only demonstrates compassion but also highlights the value of community cohesion and solidarity, particularly in the face of health challenges.

During the visit, DaCosta Aboagye said the Vice President assured Drogba of the government’s commitment to providing assistance and resources to facilitate his treatment and recovery process.

“Our health is very important that is why the Vice President and my self are here to offer our support to Drogba,we will do our part to support him with medical assistance,”DaCosta Aboagye said.

Drogba has been identified as having demyelination, a disorder that impairs the protective covering of the nerve and results in problems with movement, sensation, and vision.
