Bortianor MP to empower his constituents with skills and sports development

Member of Parliament for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Sylvester Tetteh has underscored the need for urgent policies that will provide a sharp development of skills for the youth in order to harness their full potential.

The office of the member of parliament is set to launch a policy that will begin with the training of 10 youth residents of the constituency.

The youth will be trained in biofil digester constructions and later awarded a contract to construct biodigester toilets for one thousand homes in the coastal communities to help create jobs as well as improve sanitation.

Sylvester Tetteh, the MP for Bortiano-Ngleshie Amanfro believes such avenues are the surest well to prevent the youth from indulging in possible illegal acts as a means of survival.

Aside from this project, the MP also launched a sports development program to identify and nurture those with sporting skills.

Beginning the project with a gala competition as part of this year’s Homowo festival celebration activities, he envisages advancing the project by facilitating refereeing and coaching courses for desired candidates even as he pledges to improve further sports infrastructure in the constituency.
