The campaign team of NPP flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has denied claims by former Member of Parliament for Suhum Constituency, Frederick Opare-Ansah, that the maverick politician demanded a $500 million in contracts annually from Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia in exchange for withdrawing from the presidential race.
In a statement on October 29, 2023, the campaign team stated categorically that there has never been such a discussion as Mr. Opare-Ansah.
The campaign team also addressed claims of visa racketeering, SuperCare’s success, and Kennedy Agyapong’s contribution to NPP among other things.
According to the team, Mr. Opare Ansah’s grievances stem from his unsuccessful attempts to secure the role of campaign manager for Mr. Agyapong.
