Curfew hours in Bawku worrying – Interior Minister

The Minister for Interior, Ambrose Dery says the curfew hours imposed on Bawku and its environs is worrying.

However, he said it is a measure to help protect lives and properties.

He hinted at the review of the curfew hours if the security situation in the area is stabilised.

Furthermore, Ambrose Dery called on the people of Bawku and its environs to embrace peace for the development and progress of the area.

He stated that he is a lawyer and is confident that no amount of illegal activities can confer chieftaincy to anyone. He was quick to add that no one can kill to become a chief.

The minister made the call during the 4th inaugural ceremony of the Binduri District Assembly.

The Binduri District Chief Executive Ayinga Yakubu in his speech called on the newly elected assembly members to work towards the development of the district.
