Damango: Rev. Saaka Baba Moses to contest seat as an independent candidate

A Senior Pastor at Zion Global Ministries Ghana, Rev. Saaka Baba Moses, has announced his intentions to contest for the parliamentary seat in the Damango constituency as an independent in the 2024 elections.

He has called on the good people of Damango constituency to vote against the NPP and NDC in the upcoming parliamentary elections for their failure to tackle the basic needs of the people for several years.

Rev. Saaka Baba, who doubles as the Manager of Vernacular Media Services at Ghana Institute of Linguistics Literacy and Bible Translation (GILLBT) accused the NDC and NPP who have taken turns to occupy the Damango seat since its creation of doing very little to salvage the deteriorating living conditions of the people.

Currently, occupied by Samuel Abu Jinapor from the NPP, many people are of the view that the emergence of an independent candidate will affect the fortunes of the Lands and Natural Resources Minister because the Damango constituency is not a safe zone for the ruling party.

The man of God is therefore calling on the Damango constituency to keep the spirit and support for him growing so he can liberate the constituency from the deception of both the NDC and the NPP.

Although the majority of the communities in the Damango constituency are farming communities, he accused the sitting MP of doing nothing to promote agricultural activities in the area, adding that he has been serving in the church for so many years and will be a good servant to the good people of Damango constituency and beyond.
