Danjuar Festival celebrated in a colorful atmosphere

The chiefs and people of the Bimoba communities in Ghana, Togo, Niger and Burkina Faso have celebrated the Danjuar Festival in a colourful atmosphere at Kpikpira.

The festival is celebrated yearly to pacify the Juar gods for their guidance of ,the Muar people throughout life.

This year’s festival was celebrated under the theme “Uniting Mouk To Foster Peace And Development” and chaired by the CEO of Buffer Stock Ghana, Abdul Hanan Aduliba.

The Kpikpira Daana in a speech read on his behalf by the Bimoba Youth Chief Bernard Mournah, called on the Bimoba people all over the world to remain peaceful for development to prevail.

The Bawku Naba in a speech read on his behalf by his spokesperson, David Adoliba, called on the youth of Kusaug to desist from preventing some political parties from executing their political activities in the area.

Other dignitaries that graced the occasion include the Upper East Regional Minister, Stephen Yakubu, the President of the Upper East Regional House of Chiefs, Paga Pio Ayagitam, the President of Togo’s Savannah Regional House of Chiefs, former Deputy Attorney General Joseph Kpemka among others.
