The Electoral Commission’s limited registration exercise happening today encountered several challenges at Essikadu Ketan Constituency in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Area in Western Region.

From faulty machines to an unannounced power outage, these challenges suddenly brought the exercise to a halt.

This development fuelled frustrations as people have traveled far and near to partake in the exercise at the district office to secure a voter’s identification card.

Some applicants who were anxiously waiting to register expressed worry as they were in hurry to go to school or work.

It took the intervention of the NDC Parliamentary candidate for Essikado Ketan, Dr. Grace Ayensu Dankwa to provide a generator, tent and chairs for the exercise to go on smoothly.
