Officials from the Electoral Commission (EC) have reassured the public that the outcome of the NPP presidential contest will accurately represent the wishes of the delegates.
The Commission states that they are dedicated to making sure that the proper processes are followed, and that the proper procedures for the polls include using only the Voter’s Album that the NPP Elections Committee issued for the presidential primary.
Voters should behave well to ensure a free and fair election, according to Benjamin Bannor Bio, the Electoral Commission’s Ashanti Regional Director.
In Mampong, the only people on the register are the MP and the MCE; those whose elections have not yet been set are not. It is crucial that a sizable turnout arrives both to cast ballots on time and to watch the vote counting when it is scheduled.
Some constituencies have expressed concerns about the album, but Bio has made it clear that the commission would not accept any alternative album for the polls.
