Some grassroots supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern Region are urging the flagbearer of the party to consider Leslie Mensah Tamakloe as his running mate going into the 2024 general elections.

This appeal was made to the John Dramani Mahama during his ‘Building the Ghana’ tour of the Northern Region.

The issue of who becomes running mate to the flagbearers of the two major political parties in Ghana is still thorn in the flesh of the NDC and NPP.

Many names have come up as possible candidates for the positions in both parties.

In the case of the NDC, many grassroots supporters are calling on John Dramani Mahama to settle on Leslie Mensah Tamakloe, an economist and IT specialist to partner him going into the general elections.

As the world is going digital, the NDC supporters believed every country needs people like Leslie Mensah Tamakloe to develop.

Holding placards bearing the the names of John Dramani Mahama and Leslie, the supporters were seen chanting the name of Leslie Mensah Tamakloe through out John Mahama’s tour of the Northern Region.
