GARFA Women’s div. 1: Epiphany Warriors wallop Accra Ladyz 15 – 0 on matchday 2

Epiphany Warriors FC records a heavy 15-0 win over Accra Ladyz on matchday two in the GARFA Women’s Division One on Sunday afternoon.

The game, which came off at McDan Park in Teshie, saw the Warriors record their first away win this season. It was their first away game after their 9-0 win over La Ladies on matchday one.

Black Princesses midfielder Jennifer Darwah opened the scoring for her side inside five minutes with a lovely strike. Gifty Osei will double the lead four minutes later with a good finish.

The away side will end the first half with a commanding 9-0 lead, with striker Gifty Acheampong scoring four of her six goals in the first half.

Two more goals from Gifty Osei to complete her first-half hat trick and a goal from Leticia Adjei rounded up the scoreline for the visitors.

Epiphany Warriors will score six more goals after the break to cap off an emphatic victory on the road. Leticia Adjei (54′), Deborah Nyarko (55′), Gifty Acheampong (67′ & 85′(P), Ernestina Tetteh (70′), and Hilmar Abdullai all scored in the second half.

The win maintains Epiphany Warriors’ 100% record this season. The victory takes their points tally to six and a healthy goal difference of 24 after the first two game weeks.
