Kenyan President visits Ghana

The President of Kenya, William Ruto paid a visit to Ghana on Wednesday  April 3, 2024.

The visit was to discuss and strengthen the existing bilateral ties between Ghana and Kenya, focusing on shared interests such as trade and investment, education and research, public service and capacity building among others.

President Ruto after inspecting a Guard of Honour at the forecourt of the Jubilee House, held a closed-door meeting President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana.

The friendship between Ghana and Kenya has deep historical roots and is characterized by diplomatic cooperation, cultural exchange, and mutual support on various regional and international issues. Both countries share common values such as democracy, good governance, and economic development, which have strengthened their bilateral relations over the years.

One significant aspect of the Ghana-Kenya friendship is their collaboration within the African Union (AU) and other regional bodies like the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the East African Community (EAC).
