Kumasi Killer Cop Remanded

The police officer, Inspector Ahmed Twumasi, who was detained in connection with the suspected shooting death of Victoria Dapaah, also known as Maa Adwoa, in Adum in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, allegedly confessed to the murder of his lover (side chic).

He admitted that he shot the mother of one with five rounds because she owed him GHC 5,000 but refused to pay.

As stated in the case’s fact, which was read out at Asokore Mampong District Court on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

His initial appearance coincided with dramatic and depressing moments of grieving on the courthouse front lawn.

Numerous spectators flocked to the court as police had to deal with a hectic situation to remove the suspect following the hearing.

His first accusation was murder, but the court did not hear his plea today.

Asked by the judge whether he has anything to say, Inspector Twumasi told the court that “I have no intention to commit the crime; what happened is between me and God.”
