The Legal Resources Centre, a human rights non-governmental organization, hosted a co-creation and implementation workshop on Open Government Partnership (OGP) with stakeholders from civil society, academia, and the media.
The workshop aimed to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices on co-creating and implementing Ghana’s Justice commitment under OGP. As an international initiative, OGP seeks to secure concrete commitments from governments to promote transparency, enhance citizen participation, and promote accountability, leveraging new technologies to enhance good governance.
Ghana has been a member of OGP since 2011, aligning with the principles and values enshrined in its constitution. The country has successfully developed and implemented four National Action Plans, fostering continuous collaboration towards an open and honest governance system.
The recently submitted 5th National Action Plan (December 2023) prioritizes actions to achieve an integrated mental health system, building a stronger, more transparent, accountable, efficient, and effective mental health system.
