Leicester City part ways with defender Daniel Amartey after 8 years

Ghana international, Daniel Amartey is leaving Leicester City after spending close to eight years at the club.

In an official club statement from the former English Premier League champions on Monday, it said the Black Stars centre-back will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of June.

In a dramatic final day of the Premier League, Daniel Amartey’s Leicester City suffered relegation despite a hard-fought win over West Ham United at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes put in a valiant effort, but Everton’s crucial victory over Bournemouth ultimately sealed Leicester City’s fate.

The Ghanaian international exits together with six other players.
