A spokesperson for the Chief of Zuarungu has stated that John Dramani Mahama has won the 2024 elections, pending swearing in on 7th January, 2025.
Naba Akologo Akalga, who represented the Chief of Zuarungu at the Building Ghana Tour with John Mahama in the area made the announcement.
He pleaded with the former president not to neglect chiefs in the country when he assumes office in 2025.
Naba Akologo also appealed to Mr Mahama to construct a better dam in the area, describing the dam that was constructed in the area by the NPP government as a football pitch.
John Mahama is currently on a two-day tour in the the Upper East Region.
Mr Mahama is expected to visit Navrongo, Bawku, Garu, and Zebilla after visiting the Bolga Central and Bolga East constituencies.
