NDC Communications Team Member, Margaret Ansei, has expressed her sorrows and thoughts on Sherry Ayittey’s sudden demise.
The unfortunate event which occurred on Saturday, July 22 as announced by the family has dealt a big blow to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as she was known in the party for her humility and dedication to her work.
To Margaret Ansei, this news comes off as a devastating one as she described the late Sherry Ayittey as a genuine person and a mother.
With deep sympathy, Magoo extended heartfelt condolences to the family, assuring them that their loved one will forever remain in our hearts.
Hanny Sherry Ayittey, born in 1948, began her career as a Biochemist and subsequently transformed into a proficient politician.
She held several prominent positions, notably serving as the Minister of Health from February 2013 to June 2014. Prior to that, she held the portfolio of Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology from 2009 to 2012.
Additionally, she played crucial roles as the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture under the late President John Evans Atta-Mills and continued to serve in this capacity during John Mahama’s presidency.
