Three young men were allegedly shot dead by the military in Bawku on Thursday, January 18, 2024.

The three who are said to be residents of Sabongari, a suburb of Bawku were seated in front of their house when the military accosted them.

Speaking to Metro News, the assembly member for the area, Saani Muhammad stated that the three were arrested by the military and whisked away in a car and later the police commander informed him of their killing.

This has sparked anxiety and mistrust between residents and the security agencies in the area.
