MTN donates towards Esiama Kundum Festival

MTN Ghana has presented a cheque for GH¢ 10,000.00, Airtime worth GH¢1000, and a drink hamper to support the celebration of the Kundum Festival at Esiama in the Nzema East Municipality in the Western Region.

At a brief ceremony, Prince Owusu Nyarko, Senior Manager of South West Business of MTN said; “as a friend of the traditional Area, we have come to reaffirm our relationship and lend our support to the people of Esiama as we have done in the past. Today we have come to support the traditional council in revamping their cultural heritage after the devasting effect of COVID-19”.

He said MTN believes that support to various Traditional Areas, will help promote development in the communities. “This is why we continue to support over 40 traditional councils across the country”.

To provide a distinct customer experience during the celebration, Mr. Nyarko said, MTN will set up experience centers at vantage points. In view of the just ended SIM registrations, MTN will also help customers to reconnect their SIM with the Ghana Card and register those who need to do so.

“We hope that through this festival we will be able to strengthen our relationship with our customers in this area and help resolve some of the customer issues they have. In addition, we seek an opportunity to do some education on Momo fraud. We all must help educate our cherished customers on the benefits of keeping their phones and wallets safe” he added.

Chief of Esiama, Nana Ainoo Kwagyan III was thankful to MTN for their continued support over the years during Kundum Festival.

He praised MTN Ghana for providing good network in the area that has enabled communication to be easier.

“Most of the indigenes here use MTN because it is reliable and will encourage all to subscribe to this network; thank you for employing some of the youth in the area”, he added.
